Spring Birthday card

Thanks for joining me again.  Well the sun is shining and it feels really spring like, so flowers, pinks and greens seemed appropriate.

image I used the lovely Bloom with Hope stamp (134345) and although I have moved away from wood mounted stamps in the main, this is such a useful stamp that I couldn’t resist.

I stamped the flower twice in full onto some whisper white cardstock and punched out using the fun flower punch (133785) using strawberry slush ink (131178). I then stamped just part of the flower (so the   section only stamped) and punched these out with the 7/8 inch scallop punch (129404) (which is a useful one for the round array stamp set) and the 1/2″ circle punch for the centre.  To make the flower I used a ruler and my scoring tool to score down the centre of each petal (not scoring through the middle) and then folded each petal.  I layered the flowers using dimensionals and offset the petals.  I then shaped the two centre circles using a large embossing tool and again layered up using dimensionals.

I then used  a prescored 5×7 inch card blank and stamped the leaves from the crazy about you stamp set (spring catalogue 137137) in pistachio pudding ink (131177). I then stamped the petite petals flower (133155) in strawberry slush ink amongst the leaves, with some going off the page.

I then stamped and punched (133322) the flowers again on some whisper White cardstock.  I shaped using an embossing tool and stuck on using multipurpose liquid glue (110755) offsetting the petals.  Finally I stamped the sentiment from the Age Awareness stamp set (135381) and stamped the envelope too.

I think it is a pretty spring card that could be adapted by changing the sentiments.

Hope you enjoyed.
