hi everyone and welcome to the next stop on the Pootlers blog hop. I thought I would use the lovely sale a bration DSP along with the BIG day stamp set either of which you can choose as your free item for every £45 you spend on Stampin Up products.
To start take a whisper white notecard. Cut a piece of DSP 3 1/4 x 4 7/8 inches and nd stamp the cake on the bottom left corner using white craft ink and emboss with clear embossing powder. Use a sponge to gently ink over the top with pink pirouette and then buff to clean the stamped image and create a watermark effect. Stick this piece of DSP to the card front. Then using either the 2 1/2 inch punch or the equivalent circle framelit die cut a hole in the front.
Cut a piece of whisper white cardstock 3 3/8 x 4 7/8 inches and using the 1 inch punch, punch a notch in the top. Add sticky tape to three sides and adhere to the inside if the card.
To make the bookmark that slides out of the card, cut a piece of pink pirouette card 3×5 inches and using punch the top using the tag topper punch. slide into the pocket you have made and in pencil lightly Mark the top and bottom of your aperture. Remove the tag and stamp the sentiment using strawberry slush ink and then heat emboss using clear embossing powder.
Stamp the second sentiment through the aperture and add the the hearts from the brighten my day stamp set. This could also be stamped before sticking to the card if you are not sure of your technique, by marking the aperture top and bottom as you did on the bookmark.
Finally attach some ribbon to the top of the tag and slide into the card. Your recipient then has a lovely card and a bookmark to use afterwards.
Just to tantalise you, here is a picture of the next project I will be uploading, if you follow me you will automatically be updated when I post.
