So here is a smart box with an unusual shape that would hold lots of gifts. It is a basic 2 inch by 2 inch cube box, but with a little additional folding on the corners. I saw a picture of one on the Internet but all information was in what appeared to be Chinese so I cannot credit the originator.
To start you will need a 8 1/4 x 7 inch piece of cardstock. I have used Night of Navy
score the long side at 2,4,6 and 8 inches
Score the short side at 1/2, 2 1/2, 4 1/2 and 6 1/2 inches.
I then trimmed away the excess and stamped with white craft ink (191731)
The next step is to score the pushed in corners. I measured 3/4 inch from the centre of each corner and made a mark. I then used a score tool and ruler to join them up. Nhopefully you can see this in the photo below.
Now you need to gently crease each of these score lines. Next add some sticky strip to the tab on the short side and fold up one end to form a box. Gently press in the scored corners as you fold over the top. Now open the opposite end and do the same.
Finally I punched a postage stamp from whisper white and a square from a scrap of navy cardstock. The sentiment is from the label love set which was punched out using the word window punch and layered up using dimensionals.
Hope you enjoyed this project. I am just in the process of uploading my first video to you tube so watch this space! Happy Easter to you all.
