Gift box

Diamond shaped gift box

Apologies for the lack of post last weekend, I had a weekend away with 35 of my fellow Stampin Up demos, so was busy having a selfish crafting two days.  I can’t remember spending so much time crafting! I also finally got to meet my upline Sam Hammond Donald (aka Pootles) for the first time face to face.  We had a chance to make lots of different projects and swapped ideas too.  I am busy writing up the swap I made so I can share with you all too.

so on to today’s project, a gift box which I saw a sketch of on the Internet but without any dimensions and the instructions were all in either Japenese or Chinese, so I can’t take credit for the initial design.  I made my original in baked brown sugar and Lullaby DSP, and went for a brighter look on the video hoping it might show the scoring better, but I’m not sure the colours work that well. Anyway I hope you like it. I’ve put in metric measurements too  but haven’t made a box only using the metric)

Card 8 1/4 x 6 inches (21x 15 cm)

Score long side at 2,4, 6, 8, inches (5, 10, 15, 20cm)

Score short side at 1/2, 3, 5 1/2 inches (1.3, 7.5, 14 cm)

four pieces of DSP 2 1/4 x 1 3/4 inches (5.5 x 4.5 cm)

strip of card 4 3/4 x 1 1/2 inches (12 x 4 cm) scored on long side at 2 3/8 (6cm)
