It's my party gift box

So today’s project uses the lovely It’s my Party range to create an open flat gift box to hold a nail varnish.

It's my party nail varnish box

The stamp set is Party Wishes (140961) and the fabulous mini punch set Party Punch Pack (140608).  I’ve used the co-ordinating 48  sheet Designer Series Paper (DSP) (140552) which is 12×12 and every sheet is double sided! Finally a piece of Bakers Twine which is in a combo pack of mint Macaron and Melon Mambo (140555).  Melon Mambo has been used as the box base, with Melon Mambo,  Mint Macaron and Crushed Curry inks for the stamped balloons. The new stamps to go with the punches are larger than the punch, so no more white outlines!

The box is made from a piece of 8″ X 8″ card scored at 3 inches on all 4 sides.  Score the 4 corners diagonally from the outer corners and cut off the excess as shown below.

Box scoring lines

Cut 2 panels of DSP and 2 panels of whisper white 1-7/8 X 2-3/4

The lid is made from a 5-1/8 square of card.  Score at 3/4 and at 1-1/2, on all 4. Trim the outside 3 squares from each corner and crease diagonals as shown. Fold box lid up, tucking the scored and folded flaps inside.

Lid template

Cut DSP 2×2 for top and 4 pieces 2 X 5/8 for the sides of the lid

For the base cut a square 2-7/8 X 2-7/8″ and score at 1/2 inch on all 4 sides. Use the 1-1/4 scallop punch to punch a hole in the centre.
