Shutter card

So back again with my third fancy fold this week.  This card uses the beautiful Birthday Blooms stamp and the Love Bouquet DSP.  I can share this with you today as I made it for the training that I will be attending today (Sunday) with lots of other demonstrators.  Rather than making lots of swaps to swap with everyone, we were asked to join smaller groups and make just 5 or 6 swaps all using the same stamp set, but a more detailed project.  I had seen a version of this based on 12 x 12 card, but didn’t have enough 12 x 12 in the colour I was using for all of the cards, so have made a version based on UK A4 card size.

I have also entered this into a challenge for the first time with the theme of ‘Pink’ and more than one score HERE on the ScorPal site

Here is the cutting and scoring plan for the card:

Shutter card

With the short edge at the top, line up at 1 ½ inch mark and cut from 4.5 – 23.3 cm, line up at 4” mark and repeat

With long edge at the top, score the following

At 1 ¾  and 3 ½ top and bottom

At 4” middle section only

At 7 ½ “ score all the way

At 9 ¼ top and bottom

You can now decorate using layers of card and DSP

Letter Quantity needed Card dimensions (cm) DSP dimensions (cm)
A 2 13.5 x 4
B 1 WW 5.5 x 8.5 6 x 9
C 1 WW 8 x 5.5 8.5 x 6
D 4 4 x 3.5 3.5 x 3
E 2 9.5 x 3.5 9 x 3
F 1 4 x 6 5.5 x 3.5
