Sunday Scoring #16 Joy Fold Card

Joy_Fold_closed Sadly, there are times when you have to make a sympathy card, and I recently had one of those occasions, I felt the style and colour combinations really suited the mood for a sympathy card I needed to make.

Timeless Elegance DSP has a range of lovely designs that are easily adapted, however  this is a lovely card fold to make and very quick and easy too.  You can easily adapt the sizes to suit your stamp or die cut too.  I have seen lots of cards using this paper and colour combination,

The open card looks like this

I used the Rose Thinlets die for the black panel, and free cut around the matching stamped sentiment.

To make the base card, cut a piece of card 4 1/8 x 8 ½ Score on long side at 5 ½

For the smaller card, cut contrast card 3 x 8 inches score on long side at 4”.  I added a layer of Smoky Slate (3-3/4 x 2-3/4) to the front with a panel of Very Vanilla (3-1/2 x 2-1/2) .  I cut the Rose Thinlet from Basic Black card and once glued in place, I added some Wink of Stella to the petals.  The leaves were cut from Very Vanilla too.

Cut a piece of DSP 2 ¾ x 4 for the front card and a second piece 4 x 5 1 ¼  for the inside.  I added a piece of stitched satin ribbon to the front of the DSP before adhering to the front of the card.

A piece of very Vanilla for inside panel  of 2 ¾ x 3-3/4  inches finishes off the inside.
