So a quick and easy fancy fold for you today, A tri fold card made from a single piece of 12″ card. I know not everyone has the 12 x 12 card, but I do find it useful to have a stock of it to hand for fancy folds, as it gives that extra bit of length. Which as you can see when it is open is needed 🙂The final dimensions for this card are 4″ x 4″
So to start, take a piece of 4″ x 12 ” cardstock. Score the long edge at 4″ and 8″. Then take your ruler and scoring stylus and score the diagonals as shown below.
Then fold from the left – Mountain – Valley – Valley – Mountain… Then decorate!
For those of you who like a more visual guide, a YouTube video can be found
I cut a panel of DSP 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 and cut it in half diagonally, it is worth using a paper that doesn’t have a ‘right way up’ as the card might be rotated by the recipient. A panel of Whisper White Card in the centre also 3-3/4 x 3-3/4 – was decorated using a flourish stamp Flowering Flourishes – and the flowers come from the Flower Shop stamp set, which has a co-coordinating Pansy punch making decorating even easier. The paper is from the Brights DSP Paper Stack, which is fantastic value as it has 4 sheets of each of the colours in the Brights Colour range you get the following for £20
* 40 sheets
* 2 each of 2 double-sided designs in 10 colors: Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango, Temping Turquoise
This would be great if you wanted to make a rainbow of invitations!
