Pootlers Design Team Friendly Wishes #3

Friendly wishes fancy fold stampin up uk image  Today I’m back with the third project in the Pootlers Design Team series.  Sam (Pootles) is sharing the projects made by four of her team using th same stamp set every Thursday.  For the month of May I am part of the team and we are using Friendly Wishes.  The project today  is a variant on a corner fold card and I decided I really needed to use up some of the It’s my party DSP before it retires.  Whilst demonstrators can still use the products, once something is retired, I always feel it is better not to use them for my project videos as there is nothing worse than seeing something you like and not being able to buy it.  So if you like this DSP order HERE before it is gone for good.  The enamel dots are a new love too, I haven’t used them as much as I should have.

I have to admit to being frugal with my stash and if you cut carefully you can make this card using a single square of DSP .

The card blank is a 28cm x 14cm piece of card, scored on the long edge at 14cm.  To make the fold, you need to make 4 cuts in the card front.

With the card in portrait orientation (short edge at the top), line up the right hand edge at 2cm, cut from 16 to 26cm.  Rotate to landscape and with your cut piece to the right, line up at 26cm and cut down from 2cm to 12 cm.

Rotate back to portrait with the cut at the bottom and line up left edge at 10cm, cut from 18cm to 24cm, rotate to landscape and with the cut piece to the right line up at 24cm.  Cut from 4cm to 10cm.

Score the diagonal between the two cut lines and fold, adhering the frame to the front of the card.

To decorate cut a piece of DSP 13.5 x 13.5cm

Cut a 12cm square from the centre and adhere the frame to the front of the card

Trim the square to 9.5 cm and then cut a 7.5cm square from the centre

Cut the frame in half diagonally and flip to show the reverse of the DSP and  adhere half to the front of the card and half to the inside of the card lined up with the aperture

Trim the square from the centre to 6 x 6 and use as a layer in the centre on the inside of the card.  Cut a piece of card 6 x 6 for the front layer

Stamp the sentiment on a piece of card 5.5 x 5.5

Decorate the inside to match your DSP.
