The first is a little Christmassy looking, but I couldn’t resist the red and gold together for my first sample. This is based on a box made by Suzy Shailes at lifeslittlepleasures which can be found HERE my second one, I thought I would make a little more party like using the new pop of pink paper which will be available from next week! I made one using black cardstock and the other using Melon Mambo.
Box:
Card 4 ½ x 4 ½ (11.4 x 11.4 cm)
Score at 1 ½ inches on all four sides (3.8cm)
Reinforced lid – same principle as other posts
Card: 3 3/8 x 3-3/8score at 3/8 and 7/8 on all four sides
Cut away outer three squares on each corner and cut up each remaining square to make a tab
Notch out the outer long tab on each side
Fold up and glue small tabs to make lid, then fold in and glue the long outer tabs
Decoration for lid
DSP 1 ½ x 1 ½
Card 1 ¼ x 1 ¼
DSP 7/8 x 7/8
Stick the largest DSP piece direct on the lid
Layer the smallest DSP onto the card , poke a hole for your ribbon (or use a hole punch if the ribbon is thick), I stuck the ribbon with glue underneath to keep it flat rather than a knot. Then attach the panel to the box lid with dimensionals.
I would be honoured to have you as one of my customers, you can shop online HERE or contact me by phone or email to place an order or of course just have a chat about crafty things if you have any queries or would like to come to one of my classes.
