I was so pleased to see this stamp set and framelits were going to be available for another year as they are really useful for both male and female birthdays, old and young. This is an ‘oldy but a goody’ in terms of fancy folds, and great as a starter fancy fold. The basic card is simply a diagonal score across the front of a square card, however the use of a punch in the corner and some DSP on the front and inside soon perks it up. The curvy corner punch has retired, but a simple corner rounder or other make of corner punch would make a pretty accent – or for a female card a fancy bow.
note that the centre fold is on the opposite side)
Cut A4 card to 29 x 14.5 cm. Score long side at 14.5 cm Flip over and score left diagonal as shown.
Measure 1cm in from centre fold on top edge (make small mark
Measure 1cm up from front right corner (make small mark)
Score between two marks as shown in diagram and fold, use a corner punch to shape corner. The curvy trio punch I originally used is now retired, however the corner rounder is effective
Cut DSP 14 x 14 cm and cut in half diagonally
Adhere one piece to inside of card and other to front (this goes in the top right corner so will be visible when the card is closed – leaving a blank space for your sentiment on the inside, bottom left
Fix fold down with either a glue dot or dimensional
Stamp your front panel ( I used the Celebrate Today stamp set and matching dies to create dimension) and create mats/layers
Suggested sizes for front panels: (will depend on your image)
Stamped panel 7cm x 10cm
Contrast card 7.5cm x 10.5 cm
