Sunday Scoring Mini double ended double slider card

So while you are reading this, I will be crafting away with a group of crafters which make up the bigger Pinkies team.  There are 43 of us meeting up in Birmingham for a weekend of crafting fun which of course means swaps.  I am well known for my fancy folds, so of course my swap had to showcase one of those and I am also holding a class for some of them where we will make two fancy fold cards in an hour… a tall order, but I know they can do it…. Well that is if we don’t spend too much time chatting which is always a danger 🙂

So this card uses the same principle as the Ferrero slider favour I showed you a few weeks ago HERE but of course folds flat.  I have used the lovely Love and Affection embossing folder and co-ordinating stamp set.   The group of ladies are a wonderful bunch and I really enjoy spending time with them all, the sentiment seemed really appropriate to both thank them for the swap that I will receive in exchange and also indicate how they make me feel.  I love navy and white together, and it is very on trend at the moment.

On to the instructions

Corner round the end of the two pieces of WW and then stamp the ends. Decide which will be the top panel (which will have the twine) and which will be the bottom.

Emboss and stamp the whisper white panel for the front

Score long edge of coloured card at 2- ½ , 5-1/8, 7- ¾

Fold and burnish all score lines, punch a semi-circular notch out of the top of the middle panel

On the first larger panel next to the small flap, punch a notch out of both the top and bottom

Wrap the plastic around the channel and secure with tape.  With the small folded panel to the left move the join to the TOP of the card

Put a piece of tape at the TOP of the plastic strip

Adhere your bottom stamped card face down taking care to line up the card

Fold over and put a piece of tape at the BOTTOM line up your stamped card and adhere to the tape – lining up with the card

Add a piece of strong adhesive to the narrow panel and fold the card up, tucking the flap UNDER the white card panel and adhering to the card behind

    1. It is a strip of plastic from a multi punch pocket that you use in ring binders, also called page protectors?
