Archery card for Masculine Monday

Masculine Archery Card by Stampin Up Demonstrator Heidi Smith Flutterbyheidi Hi everyone, happy Monday!  For those of you on holiday I hope you are having a great time – I’ll be in work (AGAIN!) when this publishes, but I couldnt resist sharing as I will have spent a large part of the weekend looking at Archery targets over the weekend at the National Sports Centre in Lilleshall, while my youngest son was competing in a Junior competition.  I made this card for his birthday a week ago, and he was really impressed.  Although I have to admit that of my two boys, he is more interested in my craft anyway, and has been known to help himself to craft equipment when I’m not looking…not to mention any sweet treats I leave lying around in my craft area.  He ‘forgets’ that I have bought them to craft with.  Anyway, as we both love archery, I thought I would make this card which has a target face on it.  I used the Number of Years stamp set for the sentiment (including the inside which I forgot to photgraph before I wrote in it!) and the co-ordinating framelits.  the target is simple circle framelits which are cut out and stuck inside each other.  I cut the first number in Real Red, and then a second one out of Whisper White, which was cut in half down the middle to give the layer.  the Hardwood stamp on some crumb cake cardstock was cut into strips to make the target stand, and once I had glued them in place I trimmed away the excess.  It’s a bit of fun and as well as being great for archery fans – would suit someone who has reached any other ‘target’.

Stay safe and Crafty Hugs

Heidi
