Well, I’m away to the USA soon, so I hope this finds you all well and enjoying the summer in the UK. What a summer of sport with the Olympics – the coverage has been great and so many fabulous performances. As my son continues his archery efforts, I applaud the work that must go into all athletes who compete at this level, and to all those who support, coach and encourage them.
With thanks as the inspiratioin, here is an unusual shaped card, that is great for holding a gift card too. It is very simple to make with just one score and one cut! The use of the pansy punch makes decorating a cinch too.
Materials
Piece of card 29 x 14.5 cm Score long at 14.5 (11 1/2 x 5 3/4 – scored on long edge at 5 3/4)
Score card in the middle then cut diagonally as shown
Layer card as shown below, stick the left triangle to the outside front (this will be covered by DSP and the right triangle stick on the side and bottom only to create a pocket on the inside
Create a pocket on the inside and use the DSP to cover the whole of the front (covering the crossover.
DSP 14.4 x 14.5, mark at 7.2 and cut diagonally (5 3/4 mark at 2 3/8)
Use the larger piece for the front and the remainder to cover the pocket on the inside
