Hello again, although this is for a Ferrero, it’s height means it could be used for all sorts of gifts or sweet treats. I really enjoyed making this box, I love the pink and cream of Blushing Bride and Very Vanilla, I just wish I had more girls in the family to create prettiness for! I don’t think my 14 or 19 year old would appreciate a gift in these colours – even though they are happy enough to eat any Ferreros I mistakenly leave on my craft table!
The top closure could easily be adapted to use a label cut using a framelit, or another punch – you just need to make sure it is long enough to fold in half and still secure with a magnet. The super strong magnets I used are a great addition to your craft stash, they are available on Ebay very reasonably priced.
Materials
Card in main colour 6 ½ x 4 1/8
Scrap of card for closure
Instructions
Score long side 1 ½ , 3 , 4 ½ , 6
Score short side ¾
Score halfway down at ¾ and 3 ¾
Cut away skinny tab on the short end
Then cut up tabs along the bottom (deeper score). You can stamp your images at this point as you will have the score lines to guide exactly where the image will show. I used Butterfly Basics and then watercoloured the image for a soft finish.
Fold up the bottom and fold over the flaps. Punch or cut a 1 “ square and adhere to the outside if you want to neaten it or make it more secure.
Fold together at the top (pinch sides) and then fold a label over the top. Glue half of the label to the back of the box and then add a magnet to both flap and insie the box to hold it closed. Embellish with a stamped and punched (or cut out) butterfly and you are done!
you can buy any of the supplies HERE in my online shop, and if your order is under £150 don’t forget to use the hostess code and allow me to contact you to get your share of the monthly hostess goodies
Have fun,
