So this is Sunday Scoring on a Monday! I got the date wrong and as I was in the process of taking my son off to University, I didn’t spot the problem until later on in the evening, by which time I was too tired to sort out – so apologies – but I hope this was worth the wait for this is quick but effective card.
I’ve used the lovely new Paisley range from the Autumn and Winter Catalogue, which includes beautiful copper accented paper and co-ordinating thinlets and stamps. You can make very different cards depending on your choice of colour and paper and with colours such as very vanilla and cajun craze to Mint Macaron and Night of Navy, there is something for everyone.
Materials
Card for base | 5 ¾ x 8 ¼ | 14.6 X 21 cm |
Very Vanilla for inside | 5 1/2 x 4 | 10.1 X 14 cm |
Very Vanilla for front | 5 ½ x 2-1/4 | 5.7 X 14 cm |
DSP for front | 5 -1/4 x 2 | 5 X 13.3 cm |
Ribbon to close: about 8 inches (I used the Very Vanilla Lace Trim)
Instructions
Cut A4 card to 5 ¾ inches x 8 ¼ inches (in half)
Mark short ends at 2 ¾ top and bottom
Punch the tag topper punch in the middle of both short edges
Trim away the outer corners and score down the tab for the right hand tag topper along the edge
On remaining long edge measure 10 cm (4 inches) from the right hand edge and score.
There are lots of versions of this card, but this is the tutorial HERE that I used
Again, you just amaze me with your skills!
I hope your son enjoys his time at university. It’s been a long time since I graduated and have a lot of good memories being there.
Thank you, it’s a easy card but looks unusual. It’s strange without him about. …..but it was time he left too!
I hadn’t seen this kind of card before – nice!
Thank you, I’m always amazed that I keep finding new ones, and even if the fold is the same as someone else’s, it can look so different with different colours or papers.
