Stamping with Posca Permanent Markers

So, I thought I would share a project with you that I made over the weekend using some different products.  As you know the Stampin’ Up! White Craft ink is great for stamping on non-porous surfaces, but what about those occasions when you want to add a bit of colour?  I had the chance to play with some Uniball Posca markers see HERE and so tried them out on a slate coaster.

I stamped the butterflies with the craft ink to start, then added colour using the markers.  I then experimented by colouring the Grateful bunch leaves with the markers too and stamping.  They gave a great sketchy finish, which I then coloured in with the markers .  The sentiment was stamped in the same way, and I went over the image with the marker to make the writing clearer.  I finished it off with a fabulous gold marker around the edge.  The pens I had come in great vibrant primary colours, and in two bullet tip widths, so you can do some quite detailed work and lettering as well as larger surface areas.  What do you think?

The markers are permanent, so I thought I would also try stamping on some fabric in future to see what effects I can get.

I’ll be back again at the end of the week with a Ferrero Friday project, and have a Halloween Treat pouch to share with you soon too.
