Pootlers Birthday Blog Hop

header-image

Well I am so excited to be taking part in another Pootlers Blog Hop…and this time it is a birthday one! I report into Sam Hammond who has a massive team, so blog hops can get a bit difficult to organise, so Sam has arranged to host an inLinkz hop each month for all of us with a birthday in that month to take part in.  So as it is my birthday next week I get to take part!   My own little team is made up of hobby demo’s so I haven’t persuaded them to take part in blogging yet….but I’m happy that they are enjoying their journey with Stampin’ Up!  It really does suit everyone from the hobby demo to the full-time business person.

My project for you is a special box that I made for a friend of mine who is suffering with ill health at the moment.  She really needed cheering up especially on her birthday, so I bought her some lovely Ted Baker Body lotion – but it didn’t come in a box….so of course I had to make one!  The colour of the lotion is a perfect match for our Soft Sky and the sentiment and flowers are from cottage greetings. The dispenser lid on the top makes it an awkward shape, but I had this box in mind for some time and it worked out perfectly!  I also love how the shape of the balloon echoes the curve on the box.

I will be posting a video on my YouTube channel to show you how to make this….the non-Stampin’ Up! equipment needed is a 25 cm (10 inch) dinner plate! All you need to di is follow this blog and you will get an email when I publish the instructions.

You will need a score board/trimmer and embossing tool and I found the use of the Piercing Mat a help to get a good score line for the curves.

So here is the link to see all of the other fabulous ideas
