So a quick alert to remind you that this set of Dies and Stamps is NOT carrying over to the new Catalogue, so if you want this in your stash, you need to order it while it is still available.
I have to admit to not having used the dies as much as I planned, but that is because of a lack of crafting time – rather than anything else. I think balloons are an absolute staple in my collection as they can be used for so many occasions not just for birthdays. Although the die is designed to make a centre pop up card, I wanted to use it as the focal point for a card – and this card does just that and as I always try to with my fancy folds, it folds fairly flat too and stands up well (well I perhaps didn’t demonstrate that as well as I might on the video – but it really does work. I have to admit to not being the biggest fan of tent fold cards as they can collapse a little too easily at times, but this double fold keeps it all in place and has a good space on the back for your sentiment.
Dimensions
Centimentres:
24.5 x 10.5
Score long edge at 1, 3, 5, 19.5, 21.5, 23.5
Attach a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) 14 x 10 cm to the inside
Piece 2 – 14.5 x 10.5
Die cut Balloon in the centre of the second panel. I then die cut balloons in Bermuda Bay, Peekaboo Peach and So Saffron to echo the colours in the DSP. These were layered on scraps of co-ordinating DSP.
Next I created a layered panel for the back – Coloured card Watermelon Wonder 14 x 10 cm with a layer of Peekaboo Peach 13.5 x 9.5 cm. Then a Whisper White panel 13 x 9 cm. I stamped my sentiment in Bermuda Bay and the streamers in Watermelon Wonder
Have a great weekend
