Merry Little Labels Week Project 1 Quick Mini Card and Box

So this is the first of my new series – using a single stamp set or suite to create three projects each week. So to start your Christmas crafting I thought we would use the Merry Little Labels stamp set (Wood Mount 144798 or Clear 144795) …not least because it has a co-ordinating Everyday Label punch (144688)  – which is great for making quick and easy cards and gifts.  The cards are a great 3 x 3 size which fit perfectly into the new 3 inch envelopes – which in turn fit into the pizza boxes.  This means you could make some super gift card sets or thank you notes and have them all packaged up and ready to go.  I fitted four cards and envelopes easily into my box – so I think 6 would fit in well too!  I used the new Everyday Label punch for both the card and the box – and it just about fits – but you could use an oval die (or the 2 1/4 inch punch for the Eat Drink and be Merry sentiment – 143720 p207 of annual catalogue) for the box lid.  I am so pleased to see the return of Kraft Cardstock – I love the rustic look for Christmas and it is a lovely weight for a card – it is available in a pack of 12 x 12 sheets – 6 sheets of Kraft and 6 sheets of Old Olive (144622).  Of course apart from Christmas the ‘just for you’ stamp could be used at any time of year – and if you use your markers or masking to selectively colour the stamp several could be used for gifts.

I used some retired Christmas paper for my project – but have a look at the lovely Quilted Christmas 6×6 stack (144617) for some great patterns.

Hope you enjoy the series – come back and see me again soon
