Well this is the opposite end of the season to current Spring – although with the weather in England at the moment, I’m not sure the plants know which season it is! I love how this card turned out, I always enjoy making tone on tone cards, but the pop of colour with the leaves brings it to life – and the falling leaves inside I think makes a lovely surprise and a simple bar inside turns a standard card into a pretty surprise. The use of really fine thread makes a difference to give the floating effect of the leaves. If you have a guilottine type cutter it is easier to cut after embossing, but if you have a trimmer, then I recommend the method in the video. So here you go with the dimensions…
Dimensions
Card base 5-3/4 x 8 1/4 Score long edge at 4-1/8 (14.5 x 21 cm score at 10.5)
Panel for embossing ( three needed ) 1 1/2 x 3 3/4
Inner arm 1 1/4 x 8 inches (3 x 20 cm) Score long edge at 1-1/2, 4, 6 -1/2 (4, 10, 16 cm)
That’s all for now – trying to get ahead with my April and May blog posts before I let myself play with the new catalogue goodies…not to mention clearing out my retired stamp sets 🙁 Although I have to admit I do keep quite a few for my personal use or for loaning out in my classes
