Painted Glass Elegant Card

Painted Glass Elegant Card by Flutterbyheidi

So we had a new catalogue launched this week, so over the next few weeks I am going to try and introduce some of the new product ranges to you – as well as using existing products too. So this stamp set and dies are part of a new Grateful Glass suite – I’ve actually had this stamp set ages, as I received it as part of the goodies from Onstage in April – but I have resisted using it and sharing the projects until it was available to my customers.  There is nothing worse than been shown something you cannot have.  The good news is that it is now available and as part of the bundle with the beautiful stained glass dies – the frames are so delicate you can make your own doily effect as I have.  I used the pretty label punch for the rounded ends and circle punches for the layers, but this would work just as well if you have circle dies instead.  The suite includes adhesive jewels and printed vellum, but I haven’t ordered those yet….there is a limit !  Making your own background is always a great technique, and I love to show people that you can achieve the tone on tone effect by using either versamark or the ink pad that co-ordinates with the cardstock.  You could also step it up by embossing the background with clear embossing powder which would make it stand out more – although I like the subtle effect.  A narrow layer of Old Olive cardstock works well and is not a combination I would have gone for – but it was suggested on the new printable colour coach …so I gave it a go!

Don’t forget to contact me if you would like a copy of the new catalogue

  1. You’ll get a laugh out of this: my phone screen is seriously shattered so it’s hard to read at times. I read the title as “Stained glass ELEPHANT card”, not ELEGANT!

    1. Ooh, I wonder if we could do some ring elephant like with the die cuts….. 🙂
