This was a card I worked on at a recent demonstrator get together, and as I mentioned the embossing folder I used for the sample is one that I don’t have (yet). So I improvised with what I had and I have to admit to being pleased with the effect. The in color DSP paper stacks are a handy 6×6 size, so easier to store and contain a range of staple patterns …dots/stripes etc…that make great backgrounds. I am loving the Artisan Pearls, they are so pretty with all of the different colours to choose from! I think I am going to have lots of fun with colouring the Koi carp with different colour combinations – I was very traditional with my Grapefruit Grove/Lovely Lipstick combo on this one…but I am thinking that purples and blues might look stunning…perhaps with a Wink of Stella too? The new patented Distinktive stamps have so much detail on them, they look stunning in just a single colour, but add a little extra colour and they come to life even more, and that is easy to do with a sponge dauber. The sentiments should not be overlooked in this set either (you will have to excuse my stamp surgery – some of you will be horrified!) and a lovely font too.
Anyway….off to create some more and get my August classes planned and prepped!
