Triangle topped tealight box

So, you might have been wondering why I have been ‘missing in action’ recently…or of course you might not have noticed…anyhow, i decided to take time off this summer.  I originally planned to keep my blog posts going during my holiday, however firstly I was busy with family – and then secondly I was putting myself under too much pressure – so decided that time off really should be time off….and it was our first main holiday in our lovely campervan – so quite a bit of prep!

So what have I been up to?  Well there has been quite a lot of this…

And a very happy dog on holiday….

And then a certain youngest child of mine turned 16…

How did that happen???

So life has been pretty full on, but now I am back – busy with planning my autumn classes and some new taster sessions in the  local library.

Well I guess what you really want is to see what I have been up to – this is the latest project for you, it is a pretty triangle topped box to hold Yankee Candle tealights – they are the same dimension but a bit deeper than  a standard tealight, so you just get 6 in a box, but if you cannot get those you can fill with other tealights…you just get more in the box 🙂

Of course the beautiful Share What you Love DSP makes decorating these a breeze – the card is so sturdy that it really holds the shape well and the photo does not do the sheen on the paper justice!  the new Floral Frames stamp set and Foliage frames dies make it quick and easy to add a beautiful accent and the sentiment was just what was needed for the occasion.  Even better the stamp set and framelits come as a bundle with 10% discount.

Dimensions

DSP: 10 1/4 x 7 2/8 (25 x 19 cm)

Score long 3 1/4, 4 7/8, 8 1/8, 9 3/4 (8 12, 20 24 cm)

Score short 1 5/8, 4 1/8, 5 3/4 (4, 11, 15 cm)

Score diagonals across the top two sections of  the wider panels

You will need a very sturdy hold punch to get through the layers ( I used a We R Memory Keepers one) but I have seen a Cropodile in action and am sure that would be up to the job too!

Product List

Now don’t forget that this month you get a £4.50 voucher for every £45 you spend, which can be used during September…which just happens to be new catalogue time!  so why not treat yourself today – then get something from your wish list in September… depending on your spend you will be getting a voucher to cover your shipping….and then maybe even some more goodies too!

Well back to the craft desk (if I can find it under the mayhem!)

Crafty hugs

  1. Yes Heidi, I had been wondering if you were taking some time off. Pleased to hear you enjoyed your break. Thanks for this lovely box tutorial – I think it would make a great Christmas gift “from our house to yours” and I shall be giving it a go very soon. x

    1. Yes, life gets so busy – and I tend not to advertise when I am away! Back to it now though – glad you liked the box
