So I had a couple of significant birthdays to make cards for recently, both a 50th and a 60th, so being a little pressed for time, I decided to make them the same along with a video too so I could catch up on my blogging! These detailed dies are so pretty and i really haven’t used them as much as I should have – the floral pattern is so delicate and this design of card would be perfect to make wedding invitations. The co-ordinating stamp set includes a lovely floral image that looks great here as an accent on the belly band – which a nearly forgot to decorate in my video! I must come across as a right numpty in my videos as I seem to lose all co-ordination and power of speech as soon as I press record! Still I hope it comes over ok! I have to admit I am not 100% convinced about the colour combination, it looks a little brighter than my normal choices as I tend not to use as many of the bright colours, I think it is probably because years ago I had my colours done (in advance of my wedding in 1991 if the truth be told¬) and with my colouring slightly muted colours are best for me – so my wardrobe includes the softer shades …although I have been known in recent years to go for bright pink in both my colours and my hair! Anyway – enough of the natter – here’s the video and links to the products. Sadly the large numbers are no longer available, but you could use any other number dies if you needed to – for wedding and anniversary the sentiments in the stamp set are perfect, I used the new detailed with love stamp set to get the happy birthday in a similar font.
Must dash – projects to plan!
