Simple Stamping Butterfly Card

So a chance to share some projects that use minimal supplies aimed at those of you new to stamping, and what better introduction than the new Butterfly Gala suite, a gorgeous butterfly themed group of produts with the wonderful co-ordination that drew me to STampin’ Up! in the first place.

It can be quite daunting when you first start stamping – there are lots of things to choose from, and if you bought it all in one go your card would cost a fortune! so I have tried to pare this first project down to the basics of Paper, ink and stamps….. there will then be two further posts over the next few days, so show you what you can do if you add on extra tools,

This first project can be made even if you don’t have a trimmer/score board as it uses the Stampin’ Up! pre-cut and scored notecards. They fold to create a 5 x 3 1/2 inch card, so are still big enough to pop in the post, but are also a great size for writing a short note too – hence my choice of sentiment. – and come in two colours – Whisper White or Very Vanilla – and both work equally well with the wide range of Stampin’ Up! choices . My original used the very vanilla and Blueberry Bushel – and in the video I change it up to use Whisper White and Highland Heather – pretty and fresh for Spring.

I find that Post it notes are a really useful addition to my craft stash – I used the 3 x 2 inch ones for this – and from an environmental perspective you can get cardboard stick cotton buds, or get the Stampin’ Up! Sponges and cut them into quarters for sponging.

Here is the supply list – just click on an item to go straight to my Stampin’ Up! shop…and of course being Sale a Bration – for every £45 you spend – you get to choose a free Sale a Bration (Level 1) item…and there are some beauties!

If you don’t have a catalogue – just let me know and I will get one in the post to you 🙂

Enjoy your crafting
