Second card in this series using the Beautiful Promenade stamp set and this one introduces some layers and additional scoring along with the punch for the sentiment. The pearlised doilies are a pretty way of adding a little texture without using any additional tools. As I said in my video – if you were hand delivering this card, I would not score the diagonals, rather just curve using a bone folder.
I used the darker shades within the Designer Series Paper (DSP) of Fresh Fig – however I found that both Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss work really well with these papers too – so you could use whichever you have in your stash. My personal favourite is probably Blackberry Bliss – although Fresh Fig will be leaving us this June, so if you love that colour get it now while you can 🙂
A few basic shape punches are my go to elements – circles for sentiments are great and by offsetting as I did in the quick card version – you don’t have to have too many different sizes. you can also trim down some of our shaped punches to get layers too. I have a tutorial on the use of the everyday label punch HERE that shows you how. You could use any type of corner rounder – there is a great triple one that Stampin’ Up! has which is linked below (but I don’t have that one yet!)
So a quick rundown of the measurements I used
Card base 8 x 5 3/4 inches (21 x 14.5 cm) Scored at 4 (10.5 cm)
Card layer 5 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches (10 x 14 cm)
DSP 5 1/4 x 3 1/2 (9.5 x 13.5 cm)
So there it is – hope you enjoy making it
