Beautiful Promenade mini series – Beginner box 1

Back again with another Beautiful Promenade (stamp set) and Petal Promenade (DSP) project. How pretty is this paper? I adore these images – it’s just a shame that it is not scented! The photos of the flowers are just fabulous!

Well those of you that follow me may have noticed that my default love for crafting are 3D projects, it’s just how my brain works! I guess it started when I was a kid and started making origami boxes and went from there…. however I do understand that not everyone finds 3D projects easy – the great news is that Stampin’ Up! DOES make it easy, by providing several precut and scored boxes that you can choose to decorate. These 3 x 3 pizza boxes are perfect as they have a matt side for stamping or decorating and the other side is coated with a food safe covering – so you can use them for food and non-food gifts.

Of course the addition of a single punch makes sentiment layering easy and I have cheated a little by using one of the free Sale a Bration stamp sets (Part of my Story) . I love the sentiments as they work well for cards, labels and scrapbooking (not that I get as much time as I would like for scrapbooking). You might have noticed that I do like to layer my punches too….quick and easy for me….although I sometimes wish I was better at ‘pretty’ projects – I was looking at my projects recently and I really don’t make enough use of the embellishments and ribbons that are available ….

Anyway – the project is straightforward – but there’s a video with my usual bloopers and ramblings which I hope entertains. I did go for the slightly smaller layer on the lid to give a narrow border.
