Quick and Easy

Fast Friday: Happy Tails Card

So another quick card today…. but with the addition of a circle punch and a bit of cutting. As I said in my previous happy tails post yesterday, I do love this dog, especially as you can easily get three different dogs by using the spots or patches stamps. This one uses the spotty one….so lends itself to create a Dalmation. There’s a little more cutting out needed for the extra bones and the kennel – but still pretty quick to put together

The bowl is easy to create and you can co-ordinate it with the collar (or not!) I do love the co-ordination of card to inks – just gives that more professional finish don’t you think?

The little heart that you can punch out works well with the ‘ruff’ but could easily be used as an accent piece on other projects. I’ve used Wood Textures again here – it shows some of the lighter shades within the pack (I’ve said it before but it really is versatile) and using DSP rather than card for layers does help to keep the weight down, and if the depth of the card is an issue for posting in your country, these could be glued flat rather than using dimensionals.

The dimensions are pretty straightforward

Card base 5 3/4 x 8 inches (14.5 x 21 cm) Scored at 4 inches (10.5 cm)

DSP Layer 5 1/2 x 3 3/4 (14 x 10 cm)

Crumb Cake Layer 5 1/4 x 3 1/2 inches (13.5 x 9.5 cm)

DSP 1 inch x 5 inches (2.5 x 12.5 cm)

I hope you have fun making this – don’t forget to use the host code 🙂
