So, the great news is that this bundle is finally back in stock! So the projects I have been planning can finally be put into action 🙂 This is such a sweet set and of course being a new bundle you get 10% off when you buy as a bundle…but don’t delay as even though it is carrying over, the bundle price will finish at the end of the current catalogue!
So in playing with this bundle, I am making three cards, with three different ways to colour the cakes, so hopefully one of the ways will work for the stash you have. This one is using the watercolour pencils and blender pens – I find this works really well for these small images – and of course you can get some fabulous coloured cakes too. I think my favourite is the chocolate cake – but probably because it reminds me of many a chocolate fudge cake that I have made over the years for my youngest son’s birthday…it is a particular favourite of his – so whenever I see fudge cake it is his birthday I remember 🙂
The card itself is pretty easy, and as I say in the video, you can add panels to the inside too! I have amended the dimensions for the inner long panel by a couple of mm – the card now closes properly! We made this in class recently and the creations were beautiful 🙂
I haven’t used many of the sentiments on my samples – but then that is probably because I tend to leave that until just before I gift a card – that way I make sure it is the right one for the person….but there are some really fun sentiments in this set… from a straightforward pretty font ‘Happy Birthday’ to some designed for cake lovers
