Fancy fold card

Poinsettia Petals Foldback Gatefold Card

So Christmas continues with Poinsettia Petals this time… and a way to still get beautiful cards without doing any die cutting.

Sometimes (particularly when I am making cards in bulk) I don’t always have the time to do die cutting, and I also have crafters in my classes who don’t have die cutting machines, so I try to come up with options that mean you can still take full advantage of the beautiful stamp set.

This is one that uses our circle punches and the Banners pick a punch to make a card that will stand proud on anyone’s shelf this Christmas. The card itself is straightforward with just a couple of extra score lines, to a gatefold card, but the use of contrasting DSP strips emphasises the lovely shape.

The different patterns in the Poinsettia ~Place DSP are a lovely mix of florals and more generic berries/pinecones and there is a good mix of large bold designs on one side and smaller more generic designs on the reverse. If you do buy the dies – one of them cuts out the larger images on the DSP so if you don’t ‘do’ fussy cutting – you don’t have to !

I hope you have fun with this card, click on the code club image to go to my shop and shop using the host code – or click on the product links to go straight to my shop for that item.
