Well it’s not Friday the 13th…but the 13th at least has a hint of spookiness to it… and although I only have one witchy friend to really send a card to (and she’s a white witch) she still gets a spooky card.
As I explained in my treat holder post HERE the bat is inspired by stampcampwithjen.com who came up with the brilliant idea to use the umbrella punch to create the bat
As I hadn’t any Halloween paper (although the papers in the Magic in this Night suite are absolutely beautiful) and I have promised myself to resist so I can get my She Shed built I went for what I felt were Halloween colours with the orange tones of Mango Melody in Plaid Tidings – and with a little sponging I think it works pretty well…What do you think? What are your go to Halloween colours? Or do you not do anything?
The Stitched Nested Labels are a real staple for my crafting – and it is nice to off set layers sometimes, rather than the focus always being in the middle. However if you have not ventured into die cutting you could cut some layers to get a similar effect.
I do think that the Cute Fruit faces are just soooo cute….. I can see these being useful on the mini curvy keepsake boxes too….another idea for a treat box springs to mind!
So whether you are halloweening or not…have fun playing with punches or creating off set layered cards
