Inspireink Blog Hop: Christmas

So today I am hopping along with the Inspireink hoppers again – and this month the challenge is Christmas….well….I might just have overdone Christmas crafting in the last few weeks … and red and green were not what I wanted to work with…. So how about a Blushing Bride Poinsettia?

I have (or at least I am sure I have) seen Poinsettia with a pinkish tinge if not full on pink – so why not create a paper one? And I have to say that I love this paper too…this particular sheet of the Feels like Frost paper with its gorgeous frosted rose leaves is probably my favourite (well today anyway !)

I wanted the sentiment to stand out a little more – so used one of our darker pinky/purple shades – Rich Razzleberry – I think although Rococo Rose is in the colour palette for this paper – it might have been a bit lost. Anyway I was pleased with the overall effect.

Pinching and shaping the flowers, really makes this come to life (and the embossing die makes this easy) , the addition of the beaded pearls is the perfect finishing touch….what do you think?

Now please don’t forget to visit the other blogs too…with such a broad theme as ‘Christmas’ who knows what gorgeous inspiration you will find!
