Poinsettia Fold Flat Boxes

Now you may well ask – why do I need a box that folds flat? Well the reason I need them is so that I can have some to hand when I need a quick box and I don’t want them to take up too much space

Often that means that they can be a bit plain – but hopefully you will agree that this box is anything but plain?

This is, of course, another of my Poinsettia Place Suite projects – although I have sneaked in a little of the Feels like Frost DSP too – after all who wouldn’t want a blue or lilac Poinsettia? It also means that it is a perfect box to use for Christmas OR Birthdays….or maybe a get well or ‘just because’ gift too. The inspiration for the design comes simply from the cake boxes that they use in my local bakers….and I know that this style of box is found all over the world too. I liked the fact that I could use the DSP for the lid without layering onto card too and with the diagonal score lines the DSP sizes stay the same 🙂 in fact you don’t even need to score – especially on the DSP panels

I’m taking part in a virtual retreat today – so I will be busy crafting too

  1. Beautiful project! I’ve always wanted to know how to make these ‘cake’ boxes, so thank you for your inspiration!
