World of Good: A big gift box

This is a box I forgot to share on my Facebook live (doh!) It’s a good sized box and whether you make it with card with a DSP panel or make it entirely out of DSP – it will hold lots of presents as I have made the top angle quite shallow to maximise the height.

I love that stamps can be used to create your own DSP and the repeat stamping of this 1″ compass is perfect for this on its own – or you could combine it with the large Globe hemispheres – particularly for a larger project like a scrapbook page.

The Faux Suede ribbon is the perfect size and weight to match the buckle embellishment – and with the thickness and texture it holds in place – but can be easily undone too.

As I show in my Facebook Live the sentiments work well with a number of Stampin’ Up! Punches – but the shape of this one is a particular favourite of mine.

I hope you are enjoying the series – do ask if you have any questions – which do you prefer? All DSP or just a panel?

  1. Thank you so much for sharing. Your projects are always fantastic, useful and beautifully made. I am wondering about the measurements in inches on the 9 3/8 side being scored at 9 7/8. Are these perhaps just reversed? I just made a beautiful box without the top portion, so it is just like you say, we are able to use many of our creative opportunities. Thank you again for helping us. Happy Holidays however you celebrate.

    1. Apologies – is is simply a typo – the scoring should be 8 3/8 and 8 and 7/8 on the 9 3/8 side
