I love pillow boxes and have made an angled version before HERE, but like the idea of one that stands up. I have had this project in mind for what seems like forever – I saw an idea in a packaging design book – but of course no instructions or dimensions, so this is my version of this style of box.
It is an easy one to make – and the sentimental swirls are perfect for the decoration. I have kept it simple with just the main swirl – but you could easily fill in the gaps with the extra curls in the stamp set – or add in some leaves, flowers or butterflies. Stamping on the Simply Marbleous DSP gives a lovely effect on the flowers – such a versatile paper – I would love to have it as an option in the colour families – still in the meantime I am making the most of the colours available.
