So another Scoring Sunday Fancy Fold card for you.  This is a stamp set that I didn’t buy for a long time, but is so versatile as you can change the look to suit any season and change the colours to suit the recipient.  It is called Sheltering Tree and is a photopolymer stamp set so you can easily place your blossom or any of the other stamps.

To make the card base cut a piece of card 11 x 5 ½ (28 x 14) and score at 5 ½ (14 cm).  If you use 12×12 cardstock you can get two bases from a single sheet.  I used Rose Red.

Cut a square in the centre of the front card.  You can use a Framelit or your trimmer.

To cut the aperture using a trimmer line up at 2 cm in from the left side (nearest the fold) and cut down from ¾ to 4 ¾ ( 2 cm to 12.1cm).  Repeat at 2cm in from the right edge.  Turn card through 90 degrees and join the two cuts.

Cut another piece of card for the inner folded panel 7 ½ x 5 ¼ (19.5 x 13.5) which you need to score along the long edge 2 ½, 5 inches (6.5, 13 cm)

Two tabs in the same colour 5 ¼ (13.5cm) by just under ¾ “ (1.8 cm). Score tabs at 2 ½ inches (6.5 cm).

For the front  of the card you need three panels of card, one in a contrast colour 3-7/8 x 3-7/8 (I used Blushing Bride, the next is Rose Red 3 ¾ x 3 ¾v(from the panel you cut out) and finally a 3 ½ “ square of Whisper White (8.8 cm).

You need a further panel of Whisper White (or other pale colour) for inside 2 ¼ x 5 so that you can stamp/add a sentiment.  I stamped the edge in the same two inks using the blossom stamp.

I stamped the tree in Early Espresso and then added the blossom using Blushing Bride.  I then stamped the small blossom stamp in Rose Red  but stamped off once first.  The hearts were punched from Rose Red card using the bitty hearts punch.

To assemble the card add the tabs to the top and bottom edge of the inner panel and then attach the back panel.  Fold up and glue the tabs in place.  Once assembled add the front panels while the card is closed – taking care only to glue one side of the panel.
