Well today I challenged myself to join in with a colour challenge, which is outside my comfort zone as I tend to do my own thing as the mood takes me, but I follow this group and thought it was about time I had a go too. The challenge is to use the following colour combo, for the silver I used smoky slate,so my free choice is Basic Black.
So here is my contribution
I was working on the videos for my Dragonfly Dreams online class, so had the stamp set and dies out, and had an idea to incorporate a window and thought it would work well with this design.
I used the embossing folder from the Urban Underground collection and then cut out a section which I then used inside the card.
Next I used this to mark out where the hole would be on the background and stamped the bee on a hexagon of Whisper White stamping and die cutting an additional bee for dimension for the front, layering it onto a die cut vellum bee.I used the Build it Framelits for the hexagon and used a small brad to create a swivel.

you can find all the other entries here, I think you will be amazed at how people have used this colour combo

Brilliant details. I love the honeycomb cutout on the front and then that you used it on the inside! Thank-you for playing along with the GDP – Krista from Canada
Thank you so much, I was really pleased with how it turned out, hopefully I’ll have time to join in with a few more and work my way up to an honourable mention 🙂
Beautiful card..like the inside of the card as well.
