Butterfly Gala Origami Topped Box

So I now have some lovely Gingham Gala DSP to work with….and my it is pretty! the colours are lovely and fresh – and perfect to cheer up a dreary Winter day. The box really is not as tricky to make as you might think – and I have had this in mind since I did the napkin fold card HERE

As I show in my video you can make a larger version ( I used 8 x 8 for my paper one) but this version is great as it only needs a single sheet of A4 card and some off cuts for punching. I ran out of time to show you the covering of the ribbon and the label on the outside- but I will add the dimensions below .This size is also great for gifting – it would be fab for jewellery and you could easily fit a bangle, necklace or earrings inside 🙂
It would actually hold 4 Ferrero too!

Of course – don’t forget that as it is Sale a Bration, you can choose a free item for every £45 you spend – and the pack of ribbons that co-ordinate with the DSP are a must I think…5 spools of pretty spring ribbon…and it ties beautifully too

Card (two pieces ) 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 and score all 4 sides at 1-3/8. Use one to create the box base.

With the second piece, mark at 1-3/8 on all 4 sides then make the diagonal scores in the video

DSP: cut at2 5/8 and cut 4 pieces at 1 1/4 inches

Cut a second piece 2 5/8 x 2 5/8

Card for underneath 1 3/4 x 1 3/4

Sentiment: stamp onto Whisper White 7/8 x 1 3/4 and layer onto Card 1 x 1 7/8
