Sale a Bration Saturday

Can you believe we are over a month into Sale a Bration already? I know we had some super items launched on Tuesday along with the co-ordination items, but I thought it was worth having a look at some of those already available to you

This stamp set and co-ordinating embossing folder are a fabulous combo. The Japanese geisha, pagoda and tree, can be used to create cards for a wide variety of occassions – not just for good luck. Use a different sentiment and you easily have a birthday card.

When I saw this stamp set, it reminded me of the images that used to be used for Delft porcelain (at least I think that is what I remember) that I used to see on Sunday night TV when I was a child watching the Antiques Roadshow! Anyway I decided to go for the blue and white effect with some simple stamping and the use of an aquapainter to draw in the colour.

I then stepped it up a little by adding some layers of cardstock and used the tree to create a unique background before using the Itty Bitty Birthdays for the sentiment. I offset the images to create a little interest too, adding a little more colour using my aquapainter to pick up ink from an acrylic block that I had tapped my inkpad onto.

Both cards use a standard cardbase, and the layers use a .5 cm (1/4 inch) border – but the size can be whatever you want, so there are no dimensions for these projects. However, I have created a pretty fancy fold for my usual Sunday Scoring (Fancy Fold or 3D project on a Sunday) using this stamp set, so pop back again tomorrow to learn how to create a special card

This stamp set and embossing folder combo is only available as a free item when you spend £90 on any other products, but if you use the host code you will get an extra treat from me in March 🙂
