Origami Sweet Dish

So those of you who have been following me for a while, may have heard me witter on about how my papercrafting started with origami when I was a child…I never really made the true origami animals ( although a few birds and animals did get made) my parents must have got fed up with the various boxes , water bombs and assorted envelopes that I made.

Still…I still take great please in making little dishes and containers without any cutting or glue….these are great to make – perfect for nibbles (just throw in the recyling afterwards – after rescuing the ribbon for re-use) or sweets. I cheated a little by using the glue dots to hold the flaps down – but it looks pretty with the sticking out too.

The Peony Garden DSP is so pretty – a project like this that shows off both sides is perfect – and pink and gray is a lovely combo too. but I was really pleased with the in color DSP version too…Just Jade and Bumblebee ribbon make for a cheerful combo.

Of course you could use a whole sheet of 12 x 12 to make a supersized version – but this size is perfect for holding all sorts of bits and bobs…if you are a sewer too – perfect for clover clips 🙂

Don’t forget that until 3rd August the bonus days offer is on…spend £45 and get £4.50 voucher to spend from 4th – 31st August….. and of course my usual host code is in addition to this.

Take care and have fun crafting
