So another quick roundup of some recent projects for you, along with the links to youtube where dimensions in cms, inches and US card size can be found in the description box below the video. I’ll be updating my fancy fold index over the coming weeks too – given that I have over 200 different fancy fold videos on my playlist I thought I would try and make sure the two line up!
Not a new fold – but one that makes an impact. This is my gatefold Easel card and here I have used the online exclusive Irresistible Blooms for this one. Such pretty colours and lots of options for colouring the flowers too; whether you blend the background, use the splatter stamp, Stampin Blends or any other method – they always seem to come out looking beautiful!
I am not sure if this is a squash fold or a diamond fold – it came about from working on a diamond fold – but reminds me of a squash fold too! The stamp set is a lovely replacement for Flowing Flowers and with co-ordinating dies it is a really lovely set to work with…..add to that some of our beautiful new and returning colours and pretty cards are easy to make!
I have to admit to being rather pleased with how this card worked out. I love creating new folds and I think this one makes a lovely show on someone’s mantle piece or shelf…a long lasting bouquet!
We all need gift bags from time to time and this is part of my 6 x 6 stash busting projects – it uses the One Horse Open Sleigh online exclusive and these papers are fabulous for lots of occasions not just winter crafting!
This project is a fun little box that holds 4 mini chocolate bars, and with a folded hinged lid it adds a fun element to your gifting. The decoration is a simple wrap of Inked Botanicals DSP and the lasting label punch to finish it off
How about a fun drop front treat box? To give you an idea of size, this one holds 5/6 packaged tea bags. I used the lovely Seasonal Branches for this project – which has lots of options to customise the ‘branch’ for the four seasons, and the sentiments have a mix and match option too. The very best trio is great for adding both the decorative corner and the ribbon slot on the front too.
I am often looking for ways to package little treats – this one is the perfect size to add sweet treats or a lip balm and using the circle sentiments and the matching 2-3/8″ punch makes a quick but effective closure…and another way to use your 6 x 6 papers and scraps
Another fun use for the circle punch – this time to provide the closure for these reinforced boxes, and the very best trio punch provides the ribbon slot to add a die cut label to the front. I have used the Cheerful Daisies suite here – but any 6 x 6 piece of DSP would be big enough to create the closure
and finally a little memory keeping – a quick pocket mini album . The Days to Remember makes it easy to create custom calendars to remember your holidays or mark special occasions and the Countryside Corners Dies make great journaling or layering cards.
So I think that brings you up to date
I know times are hard, but if you are able to place an order with me I would be very grateful – it enables me to continue to produce these free of charge tutorials – and don’t forget to use the current host code too…. then I can show my gratitude with a little gift in the post to you
