So I was a little late getting an advent calendar made for my hubby – but the beauty of this one is that as it is individual boxes, you can keep adding to the calendar as you go along.
This calendar is made of 24 individual boxes – all of which are big enough to pop a couple of treats in if you are making for more than one ‘child’ and you could easily make them all the same size – just two sizes or all three. With all of them you can make two from a sheet of A4 card – and hte offcuts are perfect for die cutting or sentiments.
I used some offcuts of the Wonder of the season paper as I love the red and gold foiling on it – it added the perfect amount of shine – and the playful alphabet dies are fabulous to work with – letters and numbers with duplicates of common letters means it is really easy to make words and names. I started with the numbers flat – and decided a little more dimension was needed – whilst you could use cut up dimensionals – it was really fiddly – and using the adhesive foam sheet made it really quick and easy to do…. lesson learned 🙂
I will be adding the other two sizes over the next couple of days
Have fun and enjoy your advent
